It exists because most writing in this space is either platform marketing or affiliate copy dressed as advice, and neither tells you what you need to know before you spend money or start working. We cover what things cost, what platforms pay, what the terms actually say, and where the trade-offs are. Where something is a bad idea, we say so.

Married since 2000. Experimentation has been part of their relationship from the beginning, long before any of it turned into a review site. After nearly twenty-six years together they still approach this with something close to honeymoon enthusiasm. Running a review site occasionally tests the limits of that, and when it does, we stop and say so.

Products, and the selling side
Roughly sixteen years independently making and selling adult photos, videos and worn underwear. That is the part of this industry she has done rather than researched, and it runs through everything on the site about selling content, pricing and handling buyers.
She is also a published author, having written a memoir about her childhood under a separate identity kept deliberately apart from this one. Outside writing she is the witchier half of the pair, and the tarot and witchcraft are genuine interests rather than persona decoration.
She has never worked as a cam model. When she writes about camming, that perspective comes from research and from people she knows in the industry, and it is attributed to them rather than claimed as hers.
Jordan Emery
Hardware, apps and connectivity
The technical half. He covers male products, sex tech, apps and connectivity, hardware controls, and whether the interactive features work as advertised.
He completed college coursework in human sexuality, which is coursework rather than a degree. We would rather say so than let the phrase imply a qualification he does not hold.
Not a physician, psychologist, sex therapist, sexologist or certified sex educator, and this site will never describe him as one.
The names are false. Nothing else is.
Writing publicly about adult products and the adult industry carries real consequences for employment, family and safety. The people behind these names have decided those risks are not worth taking, and we would rather tell you that plainly than present the names as though they were on a driving licence.
The pseudonyms cover real people with real experience. What is behind them is a decision about privacy, not about credibility.
If we say we tested something, we used it
Every product review carries exactly one of these four labels.
That fourth label does the most work. Plenty of products are worth writing about that we have not used, and a page that says so is more useful than one implying experience it does not have.
Where both of us were involved, we say who did what. On the Lovense Sex Machine, Kharma was the physical user and Jordan operated the controls. Both of us tested it, but not in the same way, and the review says which is which.
We buy our own products. Everything in our testing history was purchased with our own money rather than supplied as a complimentary review unit. If that ever changes for a specific product, that page will say so.

The limits, printed next to the names
Neither of us is a physician, a psychologist, a sex therapist, a sexologist, or a certified sex educator. Jordan’s human sexuality education is college coursework and nothing more than that. Kharma’s background is independent adult content work, not cam modelling.
We do not claim experience with a type of adult work simply because we know people who do it. And we never present research as first-hand experience. That single rule does more work than the rest of this page.
Commission, disclosed, and never a verdict
Beacamstar earns commission when readers sign up to platforms or buy products through some of our links. Those links are disclosed on every page carrying them, marked so search engines can identify them, and never placed before the information a reader came for. We are affiliates of several manufacturers whose products we review. That relationship is disclosed, and it is never offered as evidence that we have used something. Commission does not decide rankings, verdicts, or which drawbacks get mentioned. Our reviews name specific faults in products we earn from, which is the only evidence of that worth anything.

- Not a sex toy retailer. We review and link, we do not sell.
- Not a home for gossip, leaked content, or anything performer-hostile.
Content that fits any of those gets removed, or never gets made.
