If you are thinking about joining BongaCams but you’re hesitant because you don’t know how the site works, here is a breakdown of the site and what you should expect.
For starters, BongaCams like most of the other big camming sites prefers to work with freelance independent models. What this means is that the site is only there to provide support and everything else you need in order to broadcast, including payment processing but there is no fixed contract for a salary or any of that stuff. The rules are very flexible, and you work anytime you want and set your own targets.
No BongaCams staff will come asking why you have not made enough money or why you have not logged into the site for some time. When you register at BongaCams, you are more of a freelance performer so don’t expect the site to help you with getting customers.
The least they will do is provide you with a training manual if you are new to the industry and they will probably allocate you one of their staff members to help you out whenever you’re stuck and offer advice when needed.
They also allocate more traffic to top earners and popular performers.
In simple terms, getting clients is up to the performer and you will need to use your creativity and wit to attract viewers to your chat room. However, the fact that the site works with freelance models does not mean that agencies and studios are locked out.
There are actually a lot of agencies which have opened accounts at the site and they have a long list of long-term clients whom they source out for their models. Thus, the agency/ studio will do all the hectic work of looking for clients and assign the clients to the models.
In return, the studio will take a cut from the model’s earnings. It is a win-win situation for both parties because the models are assured of a constant flow of clientele and the agency earns its fair share.
Joining BongaCams is very easy, all you need to do is sign up their registration form and have proof of ID to ensure that you’re over 18 years. Once your application has been accepted, you can start broadcasting immediately if you have the required equipment.
Payments and processing
All your payments will be processed once per week after the site has deducted its cut. Clients will pay you in the form of tokens and the site converts all the tokens to cash and it’s credited to your account. One token is equivalent 0.14 Euros.
It is important to note that BongaCams transacts in Euros because it has a strong European base.
If you are concerned about the transaction currency, worry not because you can easily convert the funds to your preferred currency once they are in your bank account. Additionally, if you use online money transfer companies such as PayPal, you will have the option to convert the funds to your currency of choice before the funds are transferred to your credit card or bank account.
Funds transfer period depends on where you are located. For instance, bank transfers to places such as Africa and Asia usually take around 7 days before you can access the funds. However, if you are in Europe or you have an online account; access to the funds will be instantaneous.
